An Introduction to Reopening at Cooper Orthodontics

Hello everyone!

We would like to start off by thanking everyone for their continued patience and support through this unprecedented time. With the landscape of recommended precautions and protocols being what it is, we would like to assure our Cooper Orthodontics family that we have taken protective measures necessary to help ensure the safety of our patients and staff members.

At this time, besides following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including social distancing and mask regulations, our office has implemented the following safety precautions:

  1. Reduced occupancy. While we work to deflate the backlog of office appointments accrued during the state-mandated shutdown period, we ask that our patients limit the number of guests accompanying them to their appointments to no more than one. If you have a prohibitive extenuating circumstance, please let us know and we will do our best to adjust our schedule accordingly.

  2. Staggered appointments. We will have staggering appointments at our office so as to enable everyone to practice social distancing.

  3. Reduced amenities. We are especially sorry for this one!  For the time being, we have removed the coffee station and magazines. Please make sure not to forget your personal entertainment devices and snacks/hydration.

  4. Virtual appointments. We are in the process of getting all patients connected with Dr. Cooper virtually and ask you to download the Dental Monitoring app from the app store if you have not already done so. The Dental Monitoring kit is available for purchase and direct shipping online by clicking here.  Once you notify us that you have ordered the cheek retractors and scan box we can activate you as a ScanBox user in Dental Monitoring.  Dental Monitoring is also available without the retractors for patients near the end of treatment.  To try scanning without cheek retractors, you can find the video instructions here. NOTE: Please be aware that, per our new distancing guidelines, we will only be able to schedule appointments once the digital criteria have been met by a patient. This will help us to better serve and prioritize the safety of everyone. We thank you in advance and apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any questions regarding your treatment or appliance, we will be happy to schedule a virtual conference with Dr. Cooper so she can address any concerns you may have. We hope everyone is staying safe!
